Rushforth’s chairman Simon Clegg is an experienced commercial executive, new business developer and investor, and deal-doer in the creative sector.
His experience covers production of comedies with the likes of Clive Anderson, FIFA World Cup football, ATP Tour tennis, and other global live sports and cultural events, TV factual entertainment and documentaries, New7Wonders of the World(R), Agatha Christie’s Poirot, international co-productions of feature films and television, managing and exploiting literary brands, and private equity investing focussing on IP assets.
Simon was formerly chief executive at Above The Title, an award-winning independent producer of drama, comedy, factual, music and entertainment programming. Prior to that Simon held senior business roles in media, including as co-founder alongside the Fleming media/banking family and as managing partner at Fleming Literary (Fleming Media), managing director in Europe for IP technology consulting group TAEUS, head of business affairs at leading IP brand owner Chorion and legal counsel at global sports agent ISL Television. Simon also founded and led the global technology licensing business at telco Alcatel-Lucent based in Paris.
Simon is a qualified solicitor and holds an MBA from London Business School.
Presently Simon serves as a senior adviser at boutique private equity investor Mackintosh Capital, and as a company director of TV format producer NERD, and IP rights owner and manager Owatonna Media.
